Guys I was recently checking out AV Test results, and once again Malwarebytes didn't perform that well. So why is everyone so stoked about this product? Do you guys see it as your main AV, or perhaps as a secondary scanner?

OK thanks, not sure what to think. Because IMO an anti-malware tool should be able to block malware no matter how it's delivered.

 

Agreed. Such a product should also be able to detect vbs malware (VERY common in the wild) and be able to recognize and prevent diverse types of malware persistence mechanisms.

MB fails on both counts.

Yes, I mean what if you're tricked into running malware from some online source? And what if you run malware from external drives? Malwarebytes should improve their behavior blocker, actually I don't know if it even has one at the moment. I do know that it has got a dedicated anti-exploit and anti-ransomware component. But the ability to block malware "post-execution" is also important.
