Sure wish a screen shot of the Dashboard was shown. Maybe a prelude, if they included another icon next to the question mark in Protection History which hopefully would allow the user to reset/clear the 3 modules back to zero.

That's all I need or want for now as everything else is working just fine...maybe to include when MB's notification for a blocked website would have, like in v2, an exclude option.

I'm a long time lifetime license holder but if I was a annual paying customer I'd be pretty darn mad right now paying for a product that doesn't work properly full of bugs!

Generally screen shots of a beta shouldn't be posted, and posting it was a violation of those terms. I was given one of those beta's and asked not to talk about it.

Not the point. If you accept the file you accept the terms.

Doesn't change my observation, there's no reason for a developer to get prissy about screenshots.

Still don't find this - hopefully it will be available soon.

  13. Anyone know whether MBAM has a scanned programs cache like most AV's?

No it doesn't. Well, that has been my experience anyway.

  17. Thx Roger,

I asked because AppTimer tests indicated that MBAM did not seemed to have a scanned programs cache. Just tried MBAM v3.06 and now it recognizes my lifetime license key and it does not bork when sccanning, so they seem to make progress in resolving the V3 glitches. Still a persistent cache like Avast has, might be an idea for performance improvement.

    Regards Kees

THANK you, Rubber Ducky: you nailed the fix! I'd wasted over an hour over the past 36 hours, chasing misleading hits around the web, emailing MWB tech help and waiting for it yet to reply, before coming across your post. Genuflections to you (& Wilders) for real help.

I am not sure what section to post this in as Malwarebytes is now referring to their V3 product as an AV and is no longer beta. Anyway, I chose here. I just installed V3 Premium today.

I have a question regarding the changes. With version 2 installed I was also running MSE and CryptoPrevent. Are these now redundant?

Despite their referring to MBAM as an AV I would still run an AV with it and use it the same as the last version, that is as a complimentary program to an AV. Version 3 has Ransomware protection so CryptoPrevent is probably not needed.

G'day emmjay - how are you finding V3 o_Oo_O? ....... I am still hesitant to give up V2 with a slew of issues/problems with V3 still being listed daily on Malwarebytes forum

I use Windows Defender along with MBAM v3 on Windows 10. I'm not ready to trust MBAM as a standalone solution and it gets along fine with Windows Defender/MSE. CryptoPrevent may be redundant, but I don't believe it causes any conflict either since it simply implements restrictions.

the support people don't refer to it as a standalone product. It's just their marketing folks.

G'day to you too. OZ is my land of birth.

I have had no problems with V3. Though it is just day 2. The scan is faster than V2.

Yes, the scans are much faster :thumb: That alone is enough reason to upgrade. One option for folks who don't want the new real-time protections is use MBAM in free mode.
