Okay, because that VSS bug is still there.

Yes, waiting for a fix. I tried something yesterday, made a restore point, it decreased my VSS size from 15 gb to 9 gb, not sure why that happened.

Getting this MBAM right is taking a ridiculously long time considering the size of the vendor and the resources it has.

Malwarebytes 3 appears to have three program teams (Ransom Protection Team, Exploit Protection Team, Original MBAM 2 Protection Team). Given the length time since the program's original release, one wonders if any single person knows how to resolve inner conflicts.

It would be better if they had developed it a more disciplined fashion to begin with...I know a major release will have SOME teething problems but this he as been a complete mess since the first version, as I said its a poor turnout from such a large vendor, even small developers do a more professional job...It hasn't escaped my notice that their "oh so busy" reps haven't found a few mins in their working days to add any news to this forum..I might add I'm not a fanboy so some responses from others don't hold water for me :)

Both posts, works in conjunction with each other.

    Couldn't agree more,

Yep Krusty. Just installed over 3.0.5 and cannot turn On or Off the 'Enable self-protection module' or Enable self-protection module early start'. Haven't even tested the 'Web Protection' DNS issue yet. But, I bet you it still exists.

DNS issue has been resolved. Will try a clean install and see if the above problem still remains. If it does, not a big deal IMO and can wait until it is addressed.

My problem with the previous beta was after leaving the two machines with it installed idle for a long period both became unusable with programs taking up to or around 5 minutes to open after clicking the pinned Task Bar icon. Even after a Restart this continued.

Before that though it seemed to be working fine.

Even Becky (Staff) can reproduce the issue I have posted.

Now, don't know if I even want to clean install as maybe not worth the effort.

I can turn both of those setting on and off. Clean install may work for you, I installed over the top of the previous version of 3.06.

I installed the new version, disabled all realtime protection (I never use it), and ran a number of scans. It still hangs when doing a Threat Scan. I can cancel a scan before it hangs, and deal with anything found at that point. But, if I let the scan continue to run, it reaches a point where it gets stuck on one file. Before it froze, I had run a number of scans and canclled them after a few minutes. I find it much easier to deal with just 100 to 200 files and registry keys, when there are items I want to keep as well as other items I want quarantined. I had maanged to whitelist around 1,600 files and registey keys before it froze.

As expected, CPU use is still ridiculously high. Task Manager showed it reaching 91%. But, it must have exceeded that at times, because occasionally my whole system would become unresponsive for a few seconds. I could move the mouse pointer, and that was it.

To those who say that CPU doesn't matter. It does matter to me, as I want to be able to use my computer while running a scan.

I don't know what going on here but with MBAM 2.2 if I visit http://iptest.malwarebytes.org/ MBAM blocks it but not if I visit http://52.21.84.70/ . I wonder why? It seems if they can't get it right with MBAM 2 how are they supposed to get it right with MB 3? o_O

For me, v3.0.5 always blocked both sites. Now, with the new Beta, it also blocks both sites. Every other v3 editions, did not produce an alert for the DNS site only for the IP address one.

Poster on MB's site also has the same problem.

Sorry can't help; just giving you my experiences.
