John, posted on MB's forum. We are NOT the ONLY one's with the Web Protection's URL to DNS issue...more problems than resolution!

Sorry, user error. Firewall blocked all Internet access to Firefox.

Not showing all protections. I had to take it off the desktop this morning. System was like it had an anchor. Horrible delay in network starting among other things.

Now, since the Beta update, Exploit Protection does not start. Reboot, does not solve the issue...it just says, "Starting..." And, the systray remainder, stays visible.

    I give up!!!!!!

    Hi Boredog

Afraid old news. They fixed the VSS, but it still isn't useable.

    OK, Thanks.

It (the new beta version) seems to be working alright on this machine so far but I installed it on another machine and first restart and Windows booted to a temporary profile again. MB 3 has a looong way to go yet.

I've just had both machines running this new beta become completely unresponsive. Even shutting the machine down took minutes before it responded.

MB 3.0 is as bad as the malware that it is supposed to protect us from. Thankfully I never put it on my third machine.

Pretty shoddy job MB dev team!

    Worst version ever!

Now all modules, magically, is operational. All I did was, from the systray, 'Quit Malwarebyte$', then restart mbam.exe. Web Protection still does not resolve IP Address to DNS issue.

    Will restart to see if...

It's endless! Now, Settings>Protection>Enable self-protection module cannot be changed. Also, 'Enable self-protection module early start' cannot be changed.

This is getting ridiculous! I'm almost to the point of just laughing about MB'$ v3...just becoming a JOKE!

Lucky, AppGuard, in Locked Down mode, is protecting me. Plus, with additions to 'User Space' and 'Guarded Apps' = Peace of Mind.

I will not lose any sleep thinking about MB'$. Why, it's just not that important...it's not a big thing in life!

I can't believe you guys even bother with this stupid application.
I think they call it the: "Fix it until it's broken syndrome". :argh:

While the v3.x releases have been problamatic for a lot of users, myself included, in my opinion the situation is not nearly as bad as some posters here are saying. If you are having issues, there's an easy solution, just uninstall v3, and go back to using version 2 (and disable the check for program updates). With version 2 of MBAM you should have no issues, and once the issues with v3 fixed, you can upgrade again.

Version 2 works well, still receives definition updates, and unless you specifically need features only offered in v3, there's no real need to be using the newer version. I've been using Malwarebytes user from the very beginning, and I'm certain they will fix the issues in time. In the meanwhile you can use v2.

I understand that. I just want a link to v3.0.5. Only problem I had with that version was that 'Manage Protected Applications' did not allow me to edit or remove (grayed out). Otherwise, every other module worked.

And, not being able to clear/reset 'Protection History'. Does not make sense. I run CCleaner often and unitize Revo Uninstaller Pro>Unrecoverable Delete just in case. Does not matter that much...always have Macrium's images and DVD's.;)

Everyone here knows, the most important thing is...backup, backup and backup! That's why we have an External USB 3 HD add/or a separate Partition. Why, barring a catastrophic failure (hardware), in 15 minutes, back to Pristine (docs, pics, emails, bookmarks, passwords, etc).

I've done just that, Roger, but it doesn't change the fact that MB 3.x sucks so far.

I certainly agree with that, and there's no argument from me that v3 was released well before it was ready. But, at least v2 works fine, and can be used until the bugs in v3 are fixed.

.....whatever it comes first: until the bugs in v3 are fixed or June 8, 2017 (v2 End of Life).

Actually, Feb 22nd, which has been posted by MB'$ staff and a member of Wilders. If the new Beta is any prelude of what's coming in the new release...
