I wanted to get rid of 3.0 so I did a restore image from nov with marcrium and had to reupdate windows. after updating my 2.0 was gone. I then downloaded the version in thread starter and got the errer message in screen shot. this is an insider build and wondering if anyone else sees this? is this the way malewarebytes is forcing people to move from 2.0 to 3.0?

changing the filename did the trick . thank you so much for the link. MS is watching the original install file name.
like I said after updating to the latest home insider build ms uninstalled 2.0 no I have it back again.

appears the BSOD problem is still her with the latest insider update even on 2.0. even after renaming the install file and installing 2.0 again when using Qbittorrent I get
    BSOD's
and so this is a problem with not only 2 but 3 and ms's latest update.

Then you'll have to wait for a newer MBAM-version :(
In the MBAE-forum are some users with the same problem. After downloading a file the system had a BSOD:
    Edit: typo

I think it is the web protection module in MBAM not MBAE.
