After much research I downloaded Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE to battle the malware plague. What are your thought on adding Spyware Guard and or Spyware Blaster to the mix (as suggested by some)? Thanks,

    George

They are both good programs and do not have any compatability problems with spybot or adaware I run all four and they work very well together. It is just that much more protection.

    Hi
as others have said they all work well together
use spyware guard AND spyware blaster

in spybot s&D go to advanced mode if you have not already
install hosts even if you are using another hosts file
    install resident
    you did update?
    you did immunize?

if you are running IE then download and install IE-spyads
consider mvps hosts or another hosts file IE or any other browser

if using ie tigheten up your preferences, there are guides available

    you do have AV?
you do have a bi- directional firewall i.e. not XP?? try zone alarm if novice

I have been using all of the products - except Spywareguard - for some time and they work fine in my XP SP2/Firefox environment. However, I found that they were not suffficent and went out and purchased Giant AS which is actively monitoring along with Ewido (AT) and KAV 4.5 (AV). All products are doing different things so I keep them all installed.

Sounds like someones computer is like a Great Wall of China against malware.
I still recomend you install SpyWare Guard. It works like... well it works well :p
