Malware in the recycle bin

    If I delete malicious file manually and put it in the recycle bin, can malware still be active? Am I still infected?

    You're only "infected" if it's running.....

    No. But if another user was to restore it from the recycle bin....
    Unless you are the only user you're probably better off zipping it into a password protected file in a select folder, if you actually want to keep it.
    If you don't want to keep it, just delete it, and empty the recycle bin.
