Hitman pro is only an ondemand scanner, Malwarebytes it's a real time and on demand scanner, what are you looking for exactly?

They are both very good. Always nice to have more than one option :)

I did buy HitmanPro license from black friday deal.
But i think HitmanPro alone is not worth it, because it's only on demand scanner.
If it finds something, accident already did happen.

But, i think HitmanPro.Alert is nice tool.
It's free, no need to buy license. I hope it stays free.

I did buy HitmanPro license because i wanna support makers.
And if HitmanPro.Alert neutralizes malicious process, i wanna able to clean it with HMP.

Why limit yourself when you can run both?

You could run both for free as on-demand, you only need to invoke the 30 day trial in HMP when you get some nasties.

Personally i use both, the free MBAM and a purchased HitmanPro.

Then you can have both, hitman pro should perform better as an on demand scanner, a free alternative would be use Emsisoft EK
    http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/ includes a free on-demand scanner with 2 engines/definitions, bitdefender and emsisoft.
    Comodo has a similar tool

MBAM has always felt heavy to me and I have ran it on demand. Between the two in an on demand situation I go with Hitman Pro. Down side is it doesnt scan as many file locations.

    Reasons to go with HMP:

    1. More databases to compare files against
    2. Light weight, no extra services, or running software all the time
    3. Very fast critical system area scans

    Reasons to go with MBAM:

    1. You want real time protection in additional to your AV solution.
    2. You want a more in depth system scan rather than critical system areas.

These are assuming both are the paid counterpart.
