    1. Don't use any programs that include adware
    2. Find a clean no-adware-bundled version of the program
    3. Opt out during installation if the above 2 are not possible

    Pick your poison.

    Yeah, this stuff is pretty easy to avoid.

    A very disappointing article. Considering the tile of "How to cleanse your PC of unwanted adware (and ‘badware’)", it's rather surprising that there is no mention on how to remove adware other than a very brief mention of PC Decrapifier at the end.

    There's no mention of for example Malware Bytes, or AdwCleaner.

    Easy to avoid, but also easy to miss. Just click next all the waaay~ *puppy*

    I've seen some PUPs installed without asking me first though, nor did they give me the option to deselect them. AVs didn't give a damn about it either, only MBAM as the usual reliable PUP detector.
