The latest release of Major Privacy brings several substantial improvements to enhance user control and monitoring capabilities. Access logs are now saved to disk, offering long term, deeper insight into system operations. Additional features include auto-scrolling for trace logs, and filters within the program view, making it easier to manage and monitor activities effectively. The interface has been enhanced with new layout options and an improved, more intuitive behavior for navigating tree structures, including double-click expand/collapse functionality. Notably, a significant update to the Programs.dat format means older files won’t be compatible with this version. Alongside these new additions, several bug fixes address startup speed, driver compatibility with Windows 10, and minor cleanup issues, ensuring a smoother, faster experience. Major Privacy continues to build on its advanced privacy functions with a refined approach to access control, making it a powerful tool for users seeking robust protection of their personal data. Tried to run it in Acronis - Try & Decide container, like Shadow Defender, with UAC of as always, it could not run properly. It froze all the time whatever i clicked.
are you using windows 10 or 11 there seams to be yet an other issue with windows 10 but strangely enough not in the most updated vm I have I'm debugging it to find out whats failing on older 10's again
Also if its some sort of the driver failing to start up properly try "net stop KernelIsolator" and then restart everythign again
Tried as admin, did not work. And yes, it was a driver fail according to message. Have not tried, yet, your suggestion.
I use WFC to manage WF. Is the Firewall module affecting somehow the WF just for running MajorPrivacy? I mean I want MP not interfere with WFC at all.
By default it should not but when you start creating FW rules from the MP UI than ofcause it will affect the firewall
This means the Firewall module doesn't need to be disabled when using MP for any other end while using WFC or any other third-party firewall. Nice.
Why don't you adjust your Sbie installer to align with MP installation paths? Code: C:\USERS\USER\APPDATA\LOCAL\XANASOFT +---MajorPrivacy | MajorPrivacy.ini | \---Sandboxie-Plus Sandboxie-Plus.ini As a matter of fact, all current software of yours and the future ones. Easier to maintain and keep track.
