Can you explain more about what you are referring to?

    Hello LowWaterMark:

I can not explain why some times when I make my title Bold, it often times is not shown as bold on the main thread page, and at other times it does appear as bold on the main thread page but then on future visits it is not shown as bold any more.

The only reason I can come up with is that I have Norton anti-virus and firewall. In the past Norton has (seemed??) to do strange things on my machine.

EDIT: this condition is on both Firefox and IE6.

I'll risk jumping in ahead of LWM here with a guess ...

I don't know about the vB used here, but many (most?) board-software setups won't accept anything except straight text in the title. No formatting codes at all, so no (e.g.) bold, smilies. etc.

I thought that when a title appeared Bold on a Thread page, it indicated that the thread was unread in your session.

Reading a thread, or selecting "Mark Forums Read" will make the thread titles not bold.

When a new post to a thread appears, the Thread Title becomes Bold.

That's the way it works here...
