I just updated Macrium Reflect Free from v5 to v6 and used it to create new rescue media (UFD) based on Windows 10. Then I did a full backup before upgrading to Windows 10. After the upgrade to Windows 10 completed, I did another full backup. My image files are on an external USB HDD.

I booted my UFD and it seems to work fine. But I can't browse any of my image files. I can see my image files on the HDD but when I try to assign a drive letter to the any partition, it silently fails. I did a Verify of the latest image while within the PE environment and it worked fine.

If I just boot my laptop normally and run Reflect, I can browse the images.

I've googled like crazy and haven't seen people with this problem.

Same problem with both of my Sony VAIO laptops.

    Any ideas?
Are there any diagnostics I can enable, or is there a log file?

Been using Reflect for years, but if I can't get this to work...

    This from Macrium...

We have identified a bug with Win 10 PE build 10240. This kernel version of Windows 10 fails to load drivers signed after a certain date if the PC uses UEFI secure boot. The previous rescue media build contained the image mounting driver, 'psmounterex.sys', signed prior to this date had no problems. To enable v6.1.1366 to browse images in Windows PE it's necessary to disable secure boot in the PC firmware.

We will have an update available that resolves this issue shortly.

I would suggest using a different PE build (PE5) for your Recovery Media until Macrium has solved this problem with Microsoft.
