Thanks so much. I realized that, but never having booted from a rescue drive, I was unsure how to do that. I had Googled how to start from a Macrium boot USB disk, with no good results. Finally I just Googled how to start from a USB rescue drive and BINGO. Got it! Thanks so much. When you first learn something, it seems to take forever, but slowly but surely you build up a set of "been there, done that" skills. Thanks again. Great forum!

    Hi Rhonda

Just a word from experience. The minute you build "been there, done that" skills, the been there changes. :) Glad we could help. Never hesitate to ask.

    Hi there,
I have made a normal bootable UFD using Windows 10 ISO and Rufus. Is it a difference between it and a recovery USB created using Macrium Reflect?
Thank you in advance for your help .

Been looking at this thread with interest. I have the exact same issue as the OP The difference is that my the partition of the USB flash drive is already marked as being active. Any ideas?
