Only Symantec would see a a school project as a threat. Maybe they should start focusing their efforts on real malware.

School project or not; warning or not; it still causes harm to your system by deleting actual files. It should be identified as malware because it is Malware. It that simple.

I don't know anyone during their computer schooling years (even me) who hasn't created some form of virus for a school project. Should Symantec be prioritizing rooting all that out? Yeah, they have their priorities sorted right there. Even worth making a video clip about! Obviously, this is so important to justify spending the money to create a video clip.

Silly debate, and yes, IMO it should be classed as a PUP... calling it a Trojan defies the point :argh:

Quote from The Register "Mac enthusiast blogs, such as Cult of the Mac, have criticised the move as treating Mac fans as just as dumb as Windows users."
... Can never underestimate stupidity - regardless of what OS one is using... and saying Windows users are dumb isn't exactly clever!
