I am running a simulated network before I install a larger one - in this case for a school. My Upper is perfect (after 3 days of learning) now, updating and communicating with all my (simulated) clients. What are the SPECIFIC settings for a lower server to get updates from the upper? this is all run inside a single LAN, on a single workgroup.

    hmmm...
is it possible to have 2x mirrors inside one LAN?

I have disabled all passwords under the security tab for ease of testing for now...
    All ports are default

    so:
    upper server config:

    update (automatic...)
    user eav-xxxx
    pass jerm3xxx

    Lower Server:

    Update Server: \\server
username NODadmin - (Account exists on lower server also, with admin priv)
    PW: XXXX

    UPPER server=xppro
    LOWER=win7 (trialver)

What else do I need to do? What else do you need to know? what am I doing wrong, please?
the upper has a .lic file. The lower did not, but I put the same one onto it in case that helped. it hasn't.

I have read the manual (has domain settings, not LAN) & searched the forums. Thanks for any help

    Hello hotmatrixx,

    Yes, this is possible.

It looks like you are doing everything correctly. Take a look at some of our Knowledgebase information. There are some helpful articles there.
