Low & Slow format utility need

Hi
i downloaded a trail version of Acronis Disk director , and it has a fomat feature , but it's very fast format (to format a 250 giga it takes some seconds)


i need a tool that let me format hd or partition via dos with a bootdisk, ( i know i have the original XP cd , but i don't like to use the xp cd)

i would appreciate some advises

 

It would be best to get the disk for what ever your HD is directly from their site.

Yes I see what you`re saying but the disks I get from the Maxtor site (I have Maxtor Drives) will do all that...it`s called MaxBlaster2 I think it is.

can u boot with it? and is able to format others hd brands?

 

Yeah you can boot with it and reinstall your HD if you wanted to. Yes you can use it on other HD`s as long as one of the HD`s is a Maxtor.
