Where's the best place to buy memory upgrades. I'd like to go up to 2GB from my paltry 256 I have now. Does it matter a real bunch where you buy from? I don't want to spend too much but I want it to work right too.

    best place would be crucial

take off /uk if you live in the USA.
use the activex scanner to define what upgrades you can do.
    hope that helps.

Not really sure what ram you have (ddr, ddr2, etc.) I buy most of my ram at NewEgg. Check out Kingston Value Ram or Corsair. You might want to go to the memory manufacturer's website and cross reference your model Dell with their memory modules. Crucial does that or used to do it.

    Best of luck,

    Hey Iodore,

Sorry. I didn't mean to repeat about Crucial. I'm getting old and slow.
    Take care,

I have always bought my RAM direct from Crucial. They provide free,
live telephone tech support, and will replace anything that does not
work perfectly. You can get overnight or two-day delivery if you need it.
My experience is from within USA only.
