If anyone could direct me to a DL link for this I'd me much obliged. I see no section on Piriforms website for DL's of previous builds, and even on other sites no DL's for this version... or at least a slim build of it.

Yeah I came across that version, but I'd rather use the slim. I've heard stories of recent builds of CCleaner that even if you uncheck the adware that it's still known to install unwanted things anyway without your consent. And I just can't hang with stuff like that.

    Thanks anyway though.

When I try to click on that link it just never loads... I waited minutes, and nothing.

I would still appreciated it if you (Feandur) could send me that installer/link, just in case one of the two isn't what it appears to me and/or works properly.

Well I just figured out why that link doesn't work... it's invalid. And the real site only has the current build of CCleaner, not the one I want. So... Feandur, you're my only hope here after all.

@ luciddream you won't find older Slim versions from Piriform directly as they're taken down when newer versions are released.

Thanks bud... that's the one alright. And 52 of 52 engines on VT Hash Check report it as clean.

IMO, that's bad policy. All vendors should make prior versions available on their site for people because there are any number of reasons why someone may want to roll back to one. And they shouldn't have to go hunting all over high heaven looking for it when they do.

Since it's policy at Piriform to retain only *current* versions hosted - the key words are - keep your last installed version as a backup in case something goes sideways.

I generally do this, in the event a prior version is no longer available.

A policy that I'll have to adopt.

Fallback software (back-ups) - is always good practice. Installers from recent builds sit on my PC until I'm certain the latest version plays nice with itself and everything else.

Yes. Thanks. That's something I usually do, but for some reason with CC Cleaner I've not kept a previous versions installer just in case.

Hi guys sorry for the interruption... What adware is on standard one?
Since I don't see it when I installed the latest version...

If one is afraid to risk installing something on the system, wouldn't be better if using the cc portable?

You might be prompted to install Chrome or something during setup. Just decline and that will be the end of it.
