looking for a light partition software for w7,what do you use?

    Hi
    i'm looking for a light partition software for windows 7


    well paragon is great but is not light , i would like a light and very stable and trusty software

    i read about EASEUS Partition Master never used

    i dont like a command line program
    i like more a program with a easy gui

    I make use of the Parted Magic cd. Really great in everything it can do!

    it's a linux boot cd
    but does it work with w7(windows 7 manage partitions in a different way compared to vista and xp)

    Not sure what you mean. It has nothing to do with Windows; you boot from it, Windows is not running. For a list of supported filesystems etc., see their website.

    Also, W7 already comes with its own partitioning tool, including resize.

    As a side note, in case you want to try EASEUS, you have a couple of hours to grab the latest Professional v5 for free. (Note: this utility doesn't support anything but Windows filesystems (FAT, FAT32, NTFS).

    Yes it runs on Win7 (32 & 64bit)

    Another very good utility,there's often free promotions for the Pro version knocking about.

    i know w7 has a built in partition program
    but i'm looking for a program light and maybe portable , so i can put on my usb
    or install on a pc
    maybe Partition Wizard could be a good choice

    That's what I use. I have it my my flash too, and it works great. All the features seem to work on the portable version, including resizing locked partitions that require a restart.

    For W7 Partition Wizard boot cd is all I use. Excellent product!

    It's the same features as described on their homepage. Once again, Windows filesystems only (all versions have this limitation), plus professional version doesn't work on server Windows versions.
