Long awaited firewall in Dr.Web Security Pro beta

    October 16, 2009

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web launches the beta testing of its updated anti-virus solution Dr.Web Security Space. The updated product named as Dr.Web Security Space Pro inherits all cutting-edge features of the renowned single-user solution from Doctor Web and includes a firewall!

Now patience of all users that have waited for a firewall in Dr.Web products is rewarded.

The Dr.Web Security Space Pro firewall features an application filter used to control communication between programs installed in the system and the Internet and a package filter that operates on a lower level. The updated SpIDer Guard makes the solution compatible with 32 and 64 bit systems, therefore two corresponding distributions of Dr.Web Security Space Pro are available to beta-testers.

Apart from the firewall, the solution in testing also has some improvements done to ensure compatibility between all its components.

Doctor Web welcomes all users willing to participate in the beta-testing of Dr.Web Security Space Pro. Free gifts await testers whose suggestions will help prepare the product to the release.
