Logfile format & external viewer

Will there be an external viewer to examine logfiles ?
The epfw.log can grow quite some bit when testing and in that case you'll want a viewer which you can actually see something in since that isn't the new suite's strongest point.

If there won't be an external viewer, could you at least disclose the file format of the log files or is it based on another wellknown format ?

I peeked at the header and "78 f3 9b cf 38 00 00 00" doesn't exactly ring any bells.
Not that it isn't possible to write a viewer without the file format, but why go thru all the trouble if you guys are perhaps willing to disclose it
