    NOD32 v3.0 In depth scan.....

It appears that the log file is a list of files that were not (completely) scanned.

NOD32 labeled these files as: "password protected file" or "error opening" or "internal scanning not performed."

    In my instance:
    Number of scanned objects: 245124
    Number of threats found: 0
Time of completion: 8:59:10 AM Total scanning time: 3012 sec (00:50:12)

The resulting log list only contained roughly some 7000 objects.

Where's the log of the other 238,000 objects?

    Did they get scanned?

EDIT: I think I got it. Under Threat Sense set up, I didn't have "Log all objects" checked.

It's not a good idea to enable this option as the size of the log files will grow significantly when thousands of files are scanned.

Well, you're right. It did produce all those thousands of files.
Attempting to view and scroll through them resulted in NOD32 locking up and being unresponsive.
I had to delete that list to free up NOD32.
    Too bad.
It would have been nice to be able to view it and use it a guide for getting rid of things that haven't been used in years.
