    Hi there,

I look after a network of about 4 servers and 20 clients that uses NOD32 with the ERAC.

I have it configged to run 2 scans on each PC at 3 am each week which is fine. But i want to stop people from running their own scans.

What i am looking for is a way to set it that the icon is still in the notification area but that when they open it up they are only able to see the scan info and update info without being able to launch their own scans or updates. We want to manage everything on the ERAC as we have set the scans at known quiet times. The last thing we need is for a mchine to start a scan at peak time because someone has clicked on a button when looking through stuff.

Hope someone can point me to the right config settings.

    Mark

    Hello railto,

There is no way currently to do what you are asking. The only way to keep users from running scans would be to keep egui from running in the system tray, but that would disable some things like notifications.

Smart ones will be able to even run scans from ECLS :p

But there is such a way - through Windows Registry modification or Group Policy

    User Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
    Value Name: DisableCMD
    Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
    Value Data: (0 = default, 1 = disabled, 2 = disabled but allow batch)
