Test it yourself: Shift+Right-click some file and choose Copy as path. Then paste it into the browser address bar. You may press enter if you wish; I don't recall if I did. SafeOnline will protect that address. No use.
SafeOnline will provide some protection over local pages but there is probably some value in this anyway (especially for web developers who host a local copy of the website for testing ) Anyway, still interesting I hadn't personally tried this!
