    I have v2.05sp2 installed on my laptop, using enhansed rules, got 2 connections both via wireless router on one of them LnS works fine but on the other one this is what happens;

    When i activate LnS everything goes fine for like 20 minutes or an hour but then all of a sudden my connection stops responding (tho it still shows connected), when i click on the wireless connection status button packets sent dont move but revieced increases by 1 every second.

    I checked the Log of LnS last time when this happened;

    direct
    internet -> pc
    All other packets
    source
    00:08:5C:90:CF:96
    dest
    00:0C:F1:32:46:0B
    type
    34958

    and the log menu just keeps on flooding with the same thing over and over until i turn off the firewall and everything goes back to normal again. I installed LnS to another laptop and that laptop did the same thing.

    Its a nice fw, it works fine with my first connection without any problems but i wanna use it with my second connection aswell. Does anyone know why it may be happening?? Any ways to fix it??
    Thnx for your help in advance

    Hi,

    Do you mean you are running two instances of Look 'n' Stop ?

    If the answer is yes, could you confirm the issue is also there if you are running only one instance on the adapter that gets disconnected ?

    If the answer is no, could you clarify "got 2 connections both via wireless router on one of them LnS works fine but on the other one this is what happens" ?

    Thanks,

    Frederic

    Heyya Frederic,

    Let me try to clear things out a bit;

    2 connections as in 2 different houses, both different brand routers (wireless), both different brodband companies. Got LnS installed to a laptop that i tour around house to house with

    In one house LnS works normal and i dont have any problems with it but when i go to the other house and connect to the wireless network internet works fine for lets say 20 minutes then all of a sudden it stops working. Internet still seems connected but it just doesnt seem to work at all. When i click on the wireless connection status icon (next to the clock thingy bottom of the screen) the wireless network connection status window pops and i can see that the packets sent dont move but packets revieced increase by 1 every second.

    Once i decided to press the "log" button from the LnS screen when this problem was happenning and saw the log screen was getting flooded by the same msg again and again. (see attached jpg) I clicked on the msg and pressed the "Look" button and the new window had this stuff written (see attached jpg)

    I turn off LnS and turn it on again the internet starts working normal for another 20mins / 1 hour then same thing starts happening again. If i shut down LnS and never turn it on everything seems fine with my connection but i wont be having a firewall then would i :)

    Thnx for your time

    Heyya Phantom,

    I thought i already imported the wifi rules before and it didnt help but it seems i didnt, my mistake...

    I imported the rules but was out all day so i only had a few hours test and the connection seemed fine so i guess all is fine now. But ill post if anything else goes wrong.

    Thnx alot for your help.

    Oh, by the way is there any plans of changing the LnS icon next to the clock and making it show a simple graph of sent and recieved packets like Zone Alarm used to do??
