Lns blocking internet access

    Very strange. I have no idea, sorry!

    But I like the 7th. rule of your "Internet filtering" shown in the middle screenshot of your first post: "Block the mother ****er". Which port is this supposed to block ;)

    Only a single IP (once someone gave me an exe (for an app) that was actually a trojan. I've blocked the access untill i cleand it up, just i forgot to remove the rule :).

    It happend once again(from the time i've posted) and the same thing... everything was filtered...

    Hi,

    The problem is caused by the local port which is not between 1024 & 5000 as usual but for instance 109xx in the logs you have captured.

    Just edit the two rules:
    - TCP Authorize most common internet service
    - UDP allow DNS Resolution

    and change the 5000 to something like 11000 or 12000 depending on what you will observe.

    Hello !

    Just today i had the same problem (yahoo simply disconected). I've closed lns and everything worked perfectly. I've read your post, restarted lns, edited the rules (to 12000) applied but again i've got disconnected.

    Hi,

    Did you check the log to see what were the port used and probably blocked this time ?
    Perhaps it was over 12000.
