LnS 2.06 & StrongDC

I am using LnS 2.06 & StrongDC

In StrongDC I can download/upload but I can't use the search function, it doesn't appear any result, this is only when LnS is on, when it is off the search function works.

According to your screen capture this program used TCP and UDP port 1412.

Since it's a p2p program you must have 2 specific rules for this program:

1 ) a rule in TCP allowing connections to your local port 1412 before the general rule "TCP: block incomming connections"...

2) a rule in UDP , local port 1422 after the general rule "TCP: allow most common Internet services"

Check in the log for outgoing blocked packets in TCP and UDP...

1 ) There is a missing rule: TCP:Block incomming connection

2 ) many rules are not in the correct place in the list (all Msn Messenger stuff)
and in the application filter you have Yahoo Messenger...

and so on...

The most simple solution is to upload a copy of your rules set here
and I make the corrections for you.

Make a copy of the .rls file
Rename it by adding a trailing .TXT
and upload it here.

 

After I formated the Operating system drive the situation is the same, upload+download - working, search function - not working.

I didn't import "Direct Connect (DC++)" rule from official site, and it seems it's working like above the sistem reinstall.

I ask you to send me the rules set you are using now.

You send me the two rules set who comes with LnS.... !!!!

I don't need that.

Corrected rules set attached with this post.

For the 2 Strong DC rules:

double click on each , button "applications..."
and add the program DC in the rule.

Same things for the Messenger rules.

Then enable the rules (green check mark at the beginning of the line...)

Save, apply, reboot and try Strong DC again.

 

Search function from StrongDC still doesn't work, downloading and uploading works, same settings in StrongDC soft.

I have made all the stapes you have told.

For the Messenger rules, it seems like for Yahoo Messenger v 8.1.0.421 are not necessary, it worked and works fine, without import any rule from the site.

One more thing my Internet connection is broadband, PPPoe, direct connection, connecting with username and password, and if I don't let the rule "All other packets" enabled, I can't connect to the Internet.

Search function? If there's a blocking from LnS we can see this in the log entries...

You don't have Mns Messenger too? I this case just delete the rules for Messenger...

The log is the best way to know what's happen...

I don't need that.

Here is the log after I connect to the Internet, open the browser, open StrongDC, and Yahoo Messenger.

It seems like search from StrongDC it's working now, but this is because "All others packets" rule is enable I think.
