    MS does not endorse this "tweak" and there's no garantee this won't cripple Windows. I agree with wearetheborg, unless you are using a pirated version of XP there's no reason not to update to XP3.

    I invite you to come over an install it on my nieces computer :D .

    I have failed twice now as I get a BSOD on reboot :(. Now I either have to create an SP3 disk from my SP2 copy and reinstall windows, drivers and programs or start troubleshooting which I'm not looking forward to.

    Not everything is as simple as it seems ;).

    Personally I would not place people who prefer SP2 over SP3 in the same class as pirates. You never know just what they know that you don't that makes them not use SP3.

    That is, unless you think you know more than they do, but what if they know you don't know, and knowingly don't tell you what they know so you will never know? Follow? :argh:

    I never used SP3 myself, only some chosen parts that were valuable to me.

    Do tell man! Dont be a tease! Why dont you use the full SP3? And what reasons might other people have?
    And I didnt know you could pick & choose from service packs.
