This is so silly, but I do need to mention it. My profile shows a birthdate, but it's not mine! I didn't have it listed in the previous forum software.

I can't turn off the default date, I can only change it. Anyone else seeing this?

Correct - in case birthdays are enabled as a standard - and they are - all start off on one and the same birth date/month/year *we do love one big party! :D

I guess we all do, marti :)

    regards.

You can set all the values to blank so the field does not display in your profile.

    Paul,

Thanks for the reply, but I have used this forum software in several forums before Wilders moved to it. The default birthdate is always set to "nothing" when you first register.

Once you change "nothing" to a date, then you can only change it and never turn it off. That said, why was the birthdate a "default date" and not "nothing."

Seeing now many set to 30 november 1999 oops! all those minors seem rather experienced these days :p

Look in the calendar on 30 november 2004, enjoy!

That is hilarious! I see most are lurkers...is that the default date?

Why do all the birthdays in March, except mine, have a number in parenthesis next to their user name? What does that number mean...it is different for each. Why don't I have a numbero_O? What makes me different?

Plus, why is there a smilie in this post? (I just previewed and saw it). I didn't click on any smilie or type one!!

    Three of ? = o_O

    So if I type 4 ?, you get o_O?

Three ? in a row was o_O on YaBB SE, too.

I'll run a script through the database later and change all the default birth dates to blanks (like Marti set above), but it'll be later tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for explaining the smilie deal...the question smilie. I guess on the old board I never had three in a row. I wasn't asking that many questions, I suppose. :)

But what is the number in () next to the user's name on their birthday date on the calender? And why don't I have a number? I'm sure it is a minor thing...but I am burning with curiosity. :D

This is fixed now. All those (10,600+) members that had the default birth date of 11-30-1999 are now 'blank' instead.
