    Hi all,

I have something super geeky today: a tutorial explaining how to use OProfile Linux system profiling tool to analyze performance and runtime problems with the kernel and applications. Enjoy.

Will you be making an article explaining how to analyze the information?

Yes, that can be arranged :)

Please note that you need to know what to expect or have a baseline / control to compare to in order to profile the runtime issues. Just by examining the report and seeing that, say, an app is spending 90% of time using an X library, means nothing unless you know there's a problem compared to a healthy or fully functional machine.

But I'll try to add a few juicy examples.

    Regards,
    Mrk
