Linux Mint to drop KDE

    No loss there... But I've always wondered why there isn't a Mint Gnome edition...

    Agreed. KDE isn't needed.

    I disagree. KDE is needed! If you meant that it isn't needed in Mint - yes, as there is, e.g., KDE Neon as an alternative.

    It's a good decision. They might make a better product when they focus on a small set of features.
    It would be better if they had dropped Gnome for KDE, but hey.

    Sounds great. There are already waaaaaaay too many DE's these days. Quality over quantity.

    Except Plasma is superior to Gnome in 97.6% of all use cases, but hey.

    Why would I want mint KDE over Ubuntu KDE?
