Every day, my life-long Linux journey is coming closer to a reality. I have for you a swell article showing the use of the Logitech G27 steering wheel and pedal set in Linux, with focus on Windows-specific games through Steam Proton compatibility layer, covering hardware auto-detection and initialization, calibration, force feedback (FFB) strength under different conditions (boot, login, wake after suspend), results with BeamNG.drive soft-physics car simulator, some other tweaks and observations, and more. Jolly good.

I only use mouse and keyboard to game, with the exception of the good oldie Logitech F710 gamepad that I use for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
That said, I'm glad more and more peripherals work out of the box with Linux. Whatever one may say about Valve -and there are valid criticisms- I'm thankful for what they've done for the Penguin.
