For eye candy go for PCLinuxOS, Kubuntu or any other distro with KDE. Then install Beryl + Emerald.

You can find some Beryl (Emerald) themes here though if you just want to customize KDE look here

No competition, if you have the hardware, its Sabayon, all eye candy enabled by default in this distro.

    Hello,
I would say E-Live is quite fancy, but KDE with Beryl is also sweet.
If I remember later today, I'll post a screenie of my SUSE 10.2 desktop.
Then again, Gnome is also sweet, including Mac-ed versions.

Out of the box pretty, PCLinuxOS, Dreamlinux, LinuxMint, Sabayon, SAM.

All the Linux distro's can be made pretty as you want. The only difference between something like pretty Sabayon and butt ugly Ubuntu is boot screens, wallpaper, themes, icons......all those things can be changed in a matter of minutes ;)
