I am using Trueimage 8 and want to take a drive out of my linux computer
and clone it. It is the only drive in my linux computer so it does have the boot partitian on it. I tried it and when trueimage was done, it said I had to
enter a /sbin/lilo command to the newly created linux drive to make it boot.
I would have to install the drive as my second drive in my linux box to do
this. I'm not that great with linux. Can someone tell me how to now make
the second drive bootable using the command above? I would like to have
a larger drive in my linux computer and this is the easiest way for me to do
it. It looks like the cloning works, except the hard drive wont boot. Any suggestions for this linux beginner would be very much appreciated.

PS - I'm using the Acronis True Image version 8 (build 800). Would it be
easier with some other version to clone my linux hard drive? Thanks <TED>

    Hello Hacklert,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please make a boot manager re-activation, for that please boot the computer from the Linux installation CD, then enter rescue mode and issue the following commands:
    mkdir /mnt/tmp
mount /dev/hdXY /mnt/tmp (where `/dev/hdXY' should be replaced with your root device)
    chroot /mnt/tmp
    /sbin/lilo /device_name (/device_name is hd: hda, hdal, hda2, sdal, sda2 and etc.).

Also please read the Linux FAQ.

    Thank you.
