    I have Flash 11.2.202.238 installed under Firefox 3.6.28 running on Ubuntu 1104 Live USB and it works on Youtube videos. I deleted Java entirely due to the recent problem.

    My Flash-Firefox libflashplayer.so is placed in ~/.mozilla/plugins directory and not in the usual other (global) places it may normally get installed. Try this to see if it works from there which is actually in your user profile.
