We have had a very mild winter so far. It should have have already been below zero but who knows, Trying to out guess the weather will drive you nuts most of the time :p It won't get below fourty five degrees tonight with light rain. And speaking of rain if you have any extra we sure could use it :D

Back in 1965 I was in Korea and they had a blizzard come down out of China The wind chill was ninty five below zero and the real temp was a toasty sixty below. If I think about it very much I think I can still feel it.

I kind of thought they might meet somewhere, but wasn't sure. :doubt: I pulled up a conversion chart and it looks like they meet at -30C/F. I guess what they are trying to say, is that after -30, it doesn't really matter anymore. Who would want to care? You're brain is probably frozen by then anyway.

I wonder what the scientist's at NASA will do if the rover encounters one of those signs? :doubt:
WARNING, WARNING. It does not compute.

My mommy won't allow me to use words like that on the internet. Besides, I don't think there would be enough underwear in the whole world if that were to happen. :D :D ;)

That intelligent alien creatures exist has been proved without any doubt by the fact that they haven't made contact with us yet.

No, no, no, if we find some of those strangers we just got to keep our heads and stay cool.

Definitely! And I want to add that when something appears to be or, in fact, is beyond our current state of knowledge it doesn't necessarily follow that it doesn't exist.
Only our own limitations make the world look smaller than it really is and diminish our expectations accordingly.

Well, I could and you could, but could those scientist's at NASA who think they're smarter* than anybody else, keep their cool?

*What was that they said at first about the Columbia, they preached for months that the foam insulation absolutely, positively, could not have caused the accident! Then they tested it later (to prove that it didn't) by firing it out of a cannon at 500MPH at a shuttle wing, and to everybodies complete shock, ended up with a 1 foot diameter hole in the wing? So much for "The foam didn't damage the shuttle." I'm not putting down NASA, but they shouldn't totally discount a possibility until it's been tested and proven first.

Whether a NASA scientist or a security guard, sometimes fear makes us act without thinking sensibly.

We, too often, expect scientists to be "coolly professional" but that is a mistake, for human nature is unpredictable we all have shortcomings and show unexpected behaviour when facing the unknown. No two people would react exactly the same in a crisis.

We have advanced in Science but we aren't yet a "scientific civilisation". ;)

Also, not everything can be explained by science or reason. Not yet.
