Maybe someone can clarify this for me. On the Ewido site there is a box with this text:

All current licenses for ewido anti-spyware 4.0 will continue to be valid, and users can change over to the new AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 for free.

I have a 4.0 license. I went to the site and entered the license code and was told "Upgrade already accomplished" enter into AVG 7.5. I ran AVG 7.5 and entered the license code where requried and got the "The license code entered has expired" message.

Does anyone know why AVG 7.5 will not accept the Ewido 4.0 license code as a free upgrade as indicated on their site?

I already did that and they told me the current license key was valid and to enter it into 7.5. When I did this I got the error message.

    Hello Gasport,
I'm a member of Grisoft Technical support department - we would like to help you to solve the issue. There are two possible causes of the situation you described:

    1) It is possible that the AVG Anti-Spyware program may be corrupted (especially in the case you did not uninstall ewido anti-spyware before AVG Anti-Spyware installation). Please do the following:
    - Download the latest AVG Anti-Spyware installation file from our website:
    http://www.grisoft.com/doc/programs?prd=asw
    - Uninstall AVG Anti-Spyware from your computer
("Start" -> "Settings" -> "Control Panel" -> "Add or Remove Programs")
    - Restart the computer
    - Run the downloaded installation file and install AVG Anti-Spyware again
    - Launch the program
    - Click the "Enter license code" link
    - Enter your license number and confirm with "Ok" button

If the problem persists it may be the second case:

    2) It is possible that the license expired already. Please contact our Sales department in order to check your license validity and expiration date. You can do it using the following online form:
    http://www.grisoft.com/doc/support-sales-form-direct

Please describe the problem in detail and mention also your license number so that our Sales Department could check it.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
