My version of true image is 8.
Even though it is fairly new it fails to detect my LG GCE-8525B rewriter. :'(
This problem has rendered the software useless.
    Need immediate help.

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but when I read your post I started True Image 8.0 (build 764) to se if my LG was recognized. I used the Create Bootable Rescue Media tool to find out if LG was presented as an option.

As you can se it was. The A102 after GSA-4120B is the firmware version. I haven't actually used it from True Image yet so I cant make any comments about that part, but I thought you might be interested anyhow since it's a LG rewriter and it is recognized in True Image.

Just an additional note: My HP 420i (NEC 2500A) DVD burner is not recognized either.

Since I have a CD burner too, it's not that big of an issue for me. But I'm sure others will be affected who may not have that benefit.

I have 2 8525B drives on Asus A7V600 mobo's and no problem creating boot cd's with TI7 or TI8. I run TI7 because TI8 has problems with VIA 8237 SATA controller.

i did a full format and re-installation of my system.

but this time i installed true image 8 before nero 6 ultra.

and now ti8 readily recognizes my LG rewriter.
