    hello all,

    new to the forum.

im looking for anonymity/privacy the best i can. i realize, that if someone is looking hard enough with the right resources ect then nothing is completely hidden/secure.

my goal is to remove as many ties to my personal identification as well as any data/metadata that could be associated with myself.

i watched the documentary "citizen 4" about ed snowden about the NSA, and i have to say if i cant protect myself from them i ATLEAST want to do as good of a job as i can for anyone else.

i had some ideas about things.. using an "onion router", private internet access(vpn), ect..but i would like to hear from everyone here about what is the consensus on what i should do.

the problem i have is im posting this in a forum which can be traced potentially to an email tied to my identity, then when i use lets say bitcoins, for payment of a vpn that will give me a way.

sorry to sound paranoid but im just trying to think as logical as i can when it comers to security.

hence why after net+ i want to go sec+ :)) (just got my a+/pc pro)

    thanks!

For starters, delete this forum account, plus all other forum accounts. Some of them are public, so they show up in search engines. You can't fully go off-the-grid.
Your brain is the best HIPS (hose intrusion prevention system) possible. Careful where you tread and you won't need to worry about perverts.

Having a VPN is great, Tor is vulnerable. To go a bit further, ANY BROWSER results in exposure.

You will tear your hair out if you decide to walk down this path. Honestly, I think your sanity is worth more than losing sleep over NSA.

We all started there :) If you don't want your posts on Wilders to be linked to your identity, then don't register using an email address that's tied to it, and at least post through a VPN. I concur with marzametal that you should delete the guest account. Then read at least these guides:
    Paranoia is your friend :)
