Laptop - possible registry problems

I've been having a persistent error with Listen Rhapsody on my laptop, so I wanted to completely wipe the disk (like FDisk used to do with FAT tables). Does Acronis True Image do this when a backup is installed? I successfully loaded a clean install I made using Acronis, but the error is still there, along with over 60 registry errors detected by Registry Mechanic.

I'm new to Acronis, and I've had this laptop for three years, so I'm a bit out of touch as far as hardware tweaks and techniques are concerned. Thanks for your help.

TI wipes the disk before restoring an image. However if the image was taken with errors in the registry then they will also appear when the image is restored.
