Lan Update / Mirror

Hi,

I've heard that NOD 3.0, and ESS only have LAN updates in the business versions, so I've made sure that we purchased the business version.

However, after installing the business version, I can not find any place in ESS to create a mirror / directory for the update files.

We are running ESS 3.0.621.0 Business Edition.

How does one get ESS to create local files of the updates so we don't have to have umpteen computers all updating individually from the internet?

Welcome to wilders.

Iam assuming you only have version 3.x (server + workstation). There're 2 way activate MIRROR.
- Using mirror in EAV BE,
- or the mirror in ERA.

Using EAV BE,
- Go to Setup > Enter the entire... > Miscellaneous > Licenses
and open your .LIC here.
- After you put .lic file Mirror is active so go Update > Advanced Update setup > Setup (button).

There you will find a tab "MIRROR".


If using ERA.

- Install ERA.
- Install Console
- From console:
Go to Tools > Server Option > Updates > Mirror Settings, and active "Create Update Mirror" + "Provide update via ... HTTP server".
