I get the first 2 with IE 7, and the last I am not worried about. So would Kas be my choice.

    ok then.

    firefox antiphising is better anyway.
I got adblock for popup blocker
im not sure if i want the firewall or not?
because the firewall is the only reason why i would buy kis and not kav.
if your pc is malware free do you really need outbound protection?

    Hi Trjam.
    And what about a HIPS?
W/o an outbound traffic control you may need an HIPS.

    But it's only my opinion.

    Best Regards.

And with Kas, is the HIPS module the one that has 2 items checked, and 2 not checked. So going with the default of 2, that will still give me the HIPS option. Or do I have to check the other 2 which I think causes a lot of popups. I am just asking and thanks for your help.

And how does Kasperskys PDM differ from Antivirs guard. I know at some point Don will jump in and cream me, but I have to ask, not just for me, but for all who are interested.

antivir guard uses signatures and heuristics and is not behavior based like kaspersky's PDM

Ok, now I understand, thanks. But, in my case it sounds like what you are describing would be Antivir and Prevx1, ummmm, not a bad combo when you think of the cost associated with a free one year license to Antivir, hea, lodore.:D

    true lol.
just think free license to antivir
    a license for nod32
and a license for kaspersky soon.
so i can choose which I like best which atm is kaspersky.
Proactive defense is getting more like SSM than prevx. since with all options ticked it gives quite a few pop ups.
