    KIS 8 alpha

It seems soon out, what I curious about is the packer detection, suspicous packer, multi-pack and unknow pack, I found these three options. If it is true, I guess the detection rate will increase a lot.
The improvement in system guard seems offer more precise control and more groups for application and system data

I had to change to title to stop the anoying battle about alpha or beta and save every body time. If you don't want to share you idea or want to post in support forum, no need to point out here.

this can't be classified as a beta, it's more an alpha.

Do not install unless you're really interested and have a spare pc for this kind of early testing, it is not for a pc you depend on and is strictly use at your own risk.

And it isn't beta. There are several things not implemented yet in this early build.

    Yes, it's even a pre-alpha.

I'll go along with that since it is noted that substantial functionality remains unimplemented.

They key thing for anyone contemplating loading this program, at this point in time, is that as functional modules are added and expanded to full functionality, serious bumps in the road can occur. So..., even if things appear as nice and stable and ready to test on the machine that you still use every day, make sure you're always in a position to readily recover from a complete rebuild of the system and application software.

actually, kaspersky itself calls it an alpha:

from the release notes. but yes there's a lot of functionality & features missing here,

I think people here are all curious about new product and know the possible effect, no need to warn by every post. Please only comment on the new feature

    Re: KIS 8 beta

I like kaspersky but to be honest I hope we don't see what's new with v8 everyday, my gosh it sure is a long way off & it's just alpha, I don't want to sound like grouch but if it was soon to be released is one thing but a day to day what's up I don't think is good to see, of course I could be wrong...

You will find it on the same server, but please read the warnings in this thread about installing this build.

    You are right.
I and/ or we will keep track of it that this forum won't be spammed with useless info about this beta/ alpha version

if people want to see what's up with kaspersky beta I suggest the support forum, that's where the testers report. I go there when I'm curious...

Because it also seems like you say the same things about KIS 7. Which in 99% of cases is stable.

Pre-Alpha. Remember that, there's already warnings for "Download at your own risk". If you're not a risk taker, wait for the beta's.

    Re: KIS 8 beta

exactly, i wasnt having a go at 'kaspersky'

just this build, which i think everyone should stay clear from.

    ----
also, i have rarely said bad things about kaspersky 7, if anything.

and even kaspersky 6, give me only problems with system instabilty and chkdsk errors, but 7 did not give me this, so i dont understand what you mean by 'saying the same things'.

    Re: KIS 8 beta

what is wrong with you, why does it feel like your having a go at me?

i think you need to read my above post,

installing this build of KIS8 will do nothing but harm your computer, its not a matter of liking/disliking kaspersky or any kind of bashing or whatever,

read the post properly next time!
