KIS 7 Questions

I have a few questions about KIS 7. First, is it better at detection and disinfection than F-Secure IS 2007? Second, are there any special settings to select when installing KIS? I know there are many modules with several options (esp. PDM/heuristics). Third, should I be concerned about the problems with chkdsk?

 

F-Secure uses Kaspersky's engine as well as others.

I'd tweak up the heuristics in KIS7, and possibly turn on the extended Rootkit scan...

I've never had a chkdsk problem with Kaspersky 6 or 7.

 

I'd set the firewall to Training Mode to begin with.

The install process is a breeze.

Never had any chkdsk problems (well, there is a 6-8 second delay at stage two, which does not grow - the horror ).

And the threads all contain the same small number of posters that repeat the same things over and over and over. Not to say that they do not have problems - they obviously do - but they are the minority, not the other way around, as their repetitiveness and often aggressiveness seem to indicate.
