Has anyone tried this one already? If so how was it, and what about updates for its database. I saw mentioned that it is cloud based, but on the page for the free version there is a screenshot that shows the updates are old.

i have tried in my virtual machine not working ..... free key failed and need safe mode to unistall also you must unistall malwarebytes before install.
verdict ; this beta not yet ready....

 

Finally I have been wondering when they were going to release a free English version, anyone know what engine they use?

All FP's restore but after 1-2 seconds real time scanner delete Notepad again.

 

That was their Report 25, Feb 2010 On_Demand. AVC Report 26, Proactive/Retrospective May 2010 had them at 11%. Ouch. For comparison, top scores were 99.3 and 63.0 respectively.

Kingsoft is historically at the bottom of the heap in VB100 RAP detection with percentiles in the low 20s versus mainstream apps scoring in the 60s with winners in the 80s.

Perhaps they'll improve. Otherwise, very sad in the tests.

 

lol the notepad thing is so funny. Well I think the best chinese av of the 3 is Rising. Delete notepad gives a bad impression. Maybe they'll improve and if they never have update problems like Rising that's a plus.. I wonder why they didn't make the AV too look like a clone of another AV like their Office suite. Jokes aside their office suite is good too if you only type in english.

 

So since I figure by now the Notepad FP will be fixed has anyone tried it against malware? Is it any good?

 

AVC should activate the cloud scanner...
