Some people hope that we can provide a recovery CD/DVD builder for 1-Click Restore and we are working on this now.

As a temporary solution, we provide a Plugin for BartPE and UBCD4Win and an ISO image file which can be used to create a bootable recovery CD/DVD.

These two files can be downloaded from the following link: http://www.keriver.com/OneClickFree/download.html

NOTE: The Plugin and the ISO image file can be used with both Pro version and Free version.

    Thanks to everyone.

    Nice interim fix! Thanks.

I burned the iso to a CD. It boots into a PE version of Windows, and then opens a copy of K1CR on the CD. Then I plugged in my external USB hard drive where my snapshots are stored.

At this point - you can either create new snapshots, or restore old ones. This should solve the initial K1CR limitation where you can't access / restore old snapshots if your system drive won't boot.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the explanation!

What are the plugins for? And, how to use these plugins?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    KOR!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Good question! Although I don't have much experience with them, BartPE and UBCD4Win are both Preinstalled Windows Environments that enable you to boot your system from a live CD (or live USB), so you can rescue files from an unbootable hard drive. BartPE and UBCD4Win are customizable - you can add plugins for various apps such as Antivirus, Anti-Malware, and assorted disk imaging applications - and now this includes K1CR.
