I have never felt so safe and secure than with these two working together perfectly to keep the IN and the OUT as I see fit. No other firewall I have used(most all fo them) works so smoothly to only do what I need. I almost never think about them being here until a new proggy asks me for permission to get out. :D

That is how my configuration is, and I only run Kerio. Unless a new program needs access I don't even have to touch my configuration. If I had a network I would get a router, but since I don't Kerio provides the protection I need.

Kerio 2x has a simple complexity like previous firewalls I have used. Through simple controls(ports, addresses, protocol, etc) you can setup advanced configurations without having to deal with multiple areas of the program. A straight forward rule based application filtering firewall.
