Somewhere during trial will be enough. It needs a license to update. Trial or official

    Thank you for the response.

My existing anti-virus will only expire in a year later.

There is a current promotion on KAV 7.0 & I don't want to miss it.

I am thinking whether it is possible to buy and activate only a year later (when my existing anti-virus has expired).

This thread over on the Kaspersky forums would suggest that you can do that.

The license will start as soon as it is activated.
If you buy a 3 license pack than license will start when first license is activated

I hope so as I have bought several boxed copies just for the future when mine expire.

    Best,
