KAV 5.XX and tray icon ?!?

Hi,

I have installed the latest version of Kaspersky antivirus 5.xx (not sure of exact build) and there isn't nay tray icon.

Everything works fine but there is neither, nor is there an option to set up a tray icon so that you know it is loaded.

The program is loaded I know that for sure. Small thing but a little bothersome none the less.

The latest vers is 5.0.149 Link , try an uninstall/reinstall and see if that helps. Perhaps use of a good registry cleaner like RegSupreme can't hurt.Good luck.

 

are you sure that both the service and the regular exe is loaded ?

there should be 2 processes running;
kavsvc.exe
kav.exe

sounds like only kavsvc.exe is running to me. if thats the case make a shortcut tu kav.exe in your startup folder
