I found in a thrift shop an unopened Kaspersky Internet Security. When i installed it,it is the 2013 version. After i entered the activation code,it said that it was expired.I had to update it manually & it said that the real time protection is on.
My question is will i still be protected good if i leave it like that?I don't shop online,so i'm not concerned about that.

If it was expired it doesn't sound unopened. It's pretty worthless at that point. There are better free options rather than trying to get by with an expired paid one.

Call Kaspersky. Sometimes boxed items have expiration date on registering them, and maybe that one just expired. Kaspersky might add more time to it if it had never been registered before.
